Exploring Lineage
Welcome to the Hispanic Genealogical Society, founded in 1981 with a small, group of 20 members. Our mission is to foster knowledge, training, and pride in discovering our ancestral roots. We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6:00 p.m. 7:30 p.m. at the Clayton Library Center for Genealogical Research, where we discuss upcoming projects, explore and develop recent genealogical resources and make them more available to it's members and community. We are committed to assisting new members in their searches and enhancing networking opportunities within our community and with various Hispanic genealogical groups. Funds raised through our annual conventions, memberships, and book sales support the purchase of Hispanic genealogy books, which we proudly donate to the Clayton Library in Houston.
